This department is also responsible to oversee the movement of containers and cargoes within the port as well as to coordinate the delivery of cargoes to their respective consignees, with the assistance of the Customs and the Plant department. As for storage capacity, LML possess three Cargo Sheds and a Container Storage area spread across 35,000m². Furthermore, Shore Handling even provides porter services for different types of vessels such as cruise ships and naval ships. The Shore Handling department employs a workforce of about 120 individuals, which consist mainly of longshoremen, supervisors and clerks.
